The Security and Privacy Research Unit at TU Wien (https://secpriv.wien) is inviting applications for two fully funded PhD positions within the WWTF project “Optimal Cross-Chain and Cross-Layer Protocols (CROSS)” (https://www.wwtf.at/funding/programmes/ict/ICT25-056/) under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Zeta Avarikioti and Univ.-Prof. Matteo Maffei.
Your profile
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent (degree completion by employment start)
- Background in security/distributed computing/blockchain is a plus
- Excellent English, communication, and teamwork skills
- Prior research experience is a plus
Your tasks
- Conduct world-class research in the design and analysis of blockchain interoperability protocols
- Collaborate with project partners and international research groups
- Contribute to teaching blockchain technologies at Bachelor’s and Master’s level
